Thu Tran<\/strong><\/a> is a guitarist and songwriter whose intuitive approach to learning and teaching guitar puts an emphasis on the foundations. Thu\u2019s style blends fingerstyle, flatpicking, and clawhammer techniques; he takes a humanistic approach, treating the guitar like a voice, letting the music breathe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lisa Liu<\/strong><\/a> is a leading voice in jazz guitar, performing and leading workshops around the world. Now based in San Francisco, Lisa explores connections between contemporary jazz, traditional folk, manouche, and solo guitar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mamie Minch<\/strong><\/a> has deep connections with acoustic guitars. She is not only an accomplished fingerstyle blues player but also a repair and restoration luthier at Brooklyn Lutherie. Mamie also hosts the Acoustic Guitar Camp at Ashokan.

As a fingerstyle jazz and acoustic guitarist, Sean McGowan<\/strong><\/a> combines many diverse musical influences with unconventional techniques to create a broad palette of textures for solo guitar. Sean teaches and performs at guitar festivals around the world and is a professor of music at University of Colorado Denver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isa Burke<\/strong><\/a> is an exceedingly versatile instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer. She has played with Aoife O\u2019Donovan, the Mountain Goats, and her own band Lula Wiles.
